I.                   Introduction:

It is important for health and wellness professionals to develop psychologically, spiritually, and physically so that they can implement and foster integral health in their lives in order to introduce it to others and for them to believe that the integral way is the way to live in prosperity. I think that I need to develop a better way of finding consistency through my plans and goals of living the integral way. I foster it now, but there is still so much going on that I have easily put it to the side in handling other things or situations when I should apply the integral way in my living properly.

II.                Assessment:

How have you assessed your health in each domain? How do you score your wellness spiritually, physically, and psychologically?

I have assessed it with myself and my family doctor. I have taken the time to evaluate the areas that need change to being complete in the integral way of living. I think that I have high levels with spirituality of life and what it brings. I am a positive, outgoing, and I stick with the goals that I set for myself to achieve. My physical wellbeing is good, but not its best when it comes to weight for my height, but I am working each day on a proper diet and exercise to work on that each and every day the best that I can.

Psychologically I think I am on the right tract, I have suffered some losses this year, and have accepted them. Just like everything happens for a reason, I have come to the thought that maybe I lost everything because I idolized what I had too much to appreciate what life really has to bring for us. I am not missing anything. This has been a great learning process for me.

III. Goal development:

My physical goal is to have a time set, a regimen in workout, and a more strict diet that I can follow better. I find there is something we can all do better to improve it just takes initiating. My psychological perspective is to be positive not negative, know I can achieve anything I put my mind to. That god has given me a gift to help myself and others, and that I can make a difference. I think that it is the most important to think only positively and move forward with life, understand that god has given us all a gift of being here. My spirituality seems pretty close in sync with my psychological views, I am a Christian, I have learned that we are not here to suffer, but to learn from things, and that is what gives me the strength and I want to share that with everyone.

IV. Practices for personal health:

Well I am a stronger believe that we must lead by example, and to foster an integral way of living, and others will want to do the same. I think that we must care for ourselves physically because our health is important. I will have to not only eat and be healthy, but to be in the right mind both psychologically and spiritually.

V. Commitment:

I think my best way forth to commitment will be to set goals, write them down, and look to them each day. I plan to stick to my nutrition and exercise and up it in time each week to improve a better lifestyle as well. I will have set time each evening or early morning as I have to follow the mental imagery and breathing techniques to relieve and refresh my both physical and psychological wellbeing. My long term goals are to endure in my learning as this term has been the most uplifting in learning to be complete with one self.

  1. Hi Anna,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your progression toward integral healing in various aspects. I have heard that it takes 21 days for anything, if done daily, to become a habit. Just think, in 3 weeks it can be a habit for us to do the things we have set for ourselves to do to acheive our spiritual, physical and psychological goals.... In the scheme of things 21 days is not much time at all, I think I will go for it and I hope you do too!!! ;) good luck in your next semester. I hope all of our classes turn out to be as fantastic as HW420.
