Unit 7 Meeting Aesclepius mp3

Hello Everyone!
How is everyone this unit? Well I hope every one is well, especially that we are almost to completion of this term! I did follow the Meeting with Aesclepius Mp3, it was good, and though I have shared that my other half is absent till he gets the help or himself back in track of what needs to be done, I still focused on him , as he has been my rock through many of the changes and experinces in my life. I focused on him because I have an un conditional love for him and my children. The colors and sounds were relaxing and worked well in the sense of coming to sensation, feelings that worked out in a spiritual and relaxed set of mind frame. I am always seeing good in everything, it is the only way I can move on. This class has been a great inpiration of mind for these exercises, as it created better understanding with our mental state, to relieve stress, and to really learn to exercise, learn meditation, and it has been an asset that I hope to continue for a life long process. It is difficult starting by initiating these exercises, more or less have quality time to sit and focus with all the distraction, but it is the same as making time for ourselves, and our goals to achieve and experience all that we can put our selves to do!
The saying "One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself" is simply the way of saying practice what you preech! NO one will take you serious if you dont lead by example.
The meditation to this weeks was great as it allows us to visualise, and althought I chose my Tony to be this wise one, it is what i saw, but there wer others I took a look into as a wise individual like my sister. There were the radiant colors before me in my visual thought during meditation as guided. It allowed me to find loving-kindness no matter what the situation was whether it was a heated situation to just a stressful moment that I had experienced. It really brought me to a better place.
I will continue these practices of meditation along with yoga from here on out, it has really enlightened my load, and allow me to see a more clearer thought. This particular meditation exercise and also the others we have practiced will really apply when assisting the healthcare field. This is something that I can reflect and share my experience by having done it as well. It is not a good thing to recommend something one has not fullfilled to follow in their own regimen, so it really makes a difference to follow a way you believe to instill it upon others as good measure.

  1. Hi Anna,
I an glad you have enjoyed the time spent here in class. Being able to meditate is going to help you and your husband. We are strong but I have learned that if we don't take care of ourselves we are no good to anyone. Continuing the exercises that you learned in class is going to get you and your family through all the hard times. Always remeber that your friend and family can give you support and advise that can be helpful. Having inner strength, happiness, and the will to never stop learning is always good. Learn from those around us for they all have something to teach us. Good luck.

  2. Hi Anna,
I don't see a unit 8 blog post for you here yet, but what did you decide were the two best meditations for you? It sounds as if you took to the Meeting Aesclepius one very naturally. The other meditations felt very natural to me, but I faltered a little on the Meeting Aesclepius one, because it wasn't easy for me to visualize a mentor figure. However, I believe I would get so much out of having a mentor, and so I want to persevere with the meditation.

It's great you've decided you want to continue with these practices. Me too! I'm (very un-mindfully)impatient to finish my studies so I can devote more time to them. ;-)
